Kuy is a long time horse enthusiast who has been riding her whole life.

Kuy competes in working equitation. She is a member of Samford Equestrian Group (SEG), Caboolture Dressage Group & Equestrian Australia. She is also a qualified Working Equitation judge, on the committee for and help run all working equitation training days for SEG.

This year Kuy moved up to Preliminary Participant from Introductory and was lucky enough to win champion at her first competition at Nanango in May 2021.

Competing with 2 horses, Elka in working equitation at prelim participant (WE intro champ 2020) and Phillip in Arabian classes at local shows (Champion Arabian 2018). Over the next 12 months Kuy hopes to move into Preliminary competitor with Elka and start Phillip at Introductory level working equitation. She is very passionate about this discipline and hopes to shine a light on the benefits of cross training horses.

Kuy's herd currently comprises of 4 very different horses; Phillip is an 8 year old chestnut pure Arabian gelding (Champion Arabian at Dayboro Show 2018), Elka is a bay 7 year old Clydie x TB, Luna is a black Belgian Draft x TB rising 2 years and Gracie is a chestnut warmblood also rising 2 years old.

The young stock will be broken in slowly over the next year whilst Elka and Phillip will continue their efforts at shows and working equitation under the guidance of our coaches: Christy Gripske of Vertical Valley Equine (jumping), Sarah Woods of Woods Equine (Dressage) and Linda Shore of Dressage 2B Shore (Working Equitation).

Kuy has a busy competition schedule this year competing away most months and competing locally at least fortnightly.
